An evening of magic – Waterlicht by Studio Roosegaarde, installed at Loevestein. Which is a fortress/castle at the westenmost part of Gelderland, part of the New Dutch Waterline – a series of fortifications and inundations meant to protect the cities of Holland against the enemy. The Waterlinie which was added to the UNESCO World Heritage List in 2021.

So: a very historic setting for art made with very modern technology (smoke machines, laser lighting). We walked under the waves, which was fabulous. Even though the idea of the area flooding is not as far-fetched as one would like ….
