Did a nature walk with a group of very enthousiastic lovers of early-blooming flowers – main dish on the menu was the Gagea pratensis – yellow star-of-Bethlehem that is found along rivers and streams and that is fairly rare in the Netherlands. Learned a lot – about plants, but also about the fact that I am not single-minded enough … Do so admire people that focus on one chosen field – any chosen field – and go for this for years and decades.
