The Young Intern is trying out stuff for the Geloof in Jou board game. Her first brainwave was to use felt, and she did some trying out using a felting needle, some wool and an old blanket. I quite like the result … but the idea has been shelved even so, as the rolled-up playing board turned out to be too bulky. Also it doesn’t have quite the right look and feel for our game – too woolly. Young Intern is nothing if not persistent. She also has a lot more patience than I – and a very steady hand.

One of the effects of having an intern coming to my studio every day is that I work every day,  too. No lazing about as this feels wrong ;)
