Human labyrinth
Had a couple of ideas about making work in public space. Made quick sketches using photoshop. The first visualises the idea of making a labyrinth with people as walls – creating short-term order out of human chaos. Can think of few things more frightning than having to walk between walls of staring people. Another idea is to play cat’s cradle in giant format. Then I found a picture on the Net, of people in a circle. They are looking at a garden made by the sculptor Isamu Noguchi in 1964. Seen from above at no 1 Chase Manhattan Plaza. Also, of course, there is Francis Alys’ Zocalo May 20 1999.
