Drew a game at a street named Gronningen today, a tree-lined busy road with a pedestrian sidewalk that leads from Osterport station to the center of Kopenhagen, flanking Kastellet. It was quite busy this morning, a lot of commuters going to work.

It always feels strange  drawing the first few squares. Once I am committed, I get  into the mood and everything is fine. It may be a good thing that I  speak no Danish, some of the sotto voice comments I got sounded rough. On the other hand, a few people stopped and talked to me, and I got to know more about how hop-scotch is played in Denmark.

The only living being that hopped was a little bird – managed to catch that one on the photo below. Danes don’t seem to be a playful lot. Will have another try this afternoon in one of the pretty parks in the center & see what happens.
